UV-123 is especially recommended for high-performance industrial coatings and automotive clearcoats where catalyst residues (acid) are present. It effectively prevents gloss loss, cracking, and delamination during accelerated weathering Studies show that 0.3-0.5% UV-123 in clearcoats retains >90% gloss after 2,000 hours QUV exposure

Agricultural Films

The NOR functionality makes UV-123 uniquely suitable for agricultural films treated with sulfur-containing pesticides, which would deactivate conventional HALS. It extends film life by 2-3× in aggressive chemical environments
