    UV-1 is a liquid formamidine-class ultraviolet absorber. It is chemically N-(ethoxycarbonylphenyl)-N'-methyl-N'-phenylformamidine. This product effectively absorbs UV light in the 240–350 nm range, with peak absorption at 308 nm, and provides near-complete absorption in the critical 300–330 nm region where polyurethanes are most susceptible to degradation [citation:1].
